Meet Marina
By day, Marina is an editorial assistant for three of Harlequin’s trade imprints. Avid supporter of the Oxford Comma and the em dash, Marina is also a freelance editor by night, leads quarterly writing workshops, and spent half a decade as a bookseller at Indigo.
In her free time, you can find Marina with her nose in a book or clicking away at her laptop, chasing new stories and wrangling them into wild submission—she’s been writing since she was a little girl. Some of her stories get away, but the ones she keeps are the ones she can’t wait to share with the world. She is currently querying an atmospheric YA fantasy called BETWEEN THE WHISPERING TREES, for fans of BRING ME YOUR MIDNIGHT by Rachel Griffin and FOR THE WOLF by Hannah Whitten. It is about grief, memory, friendship, family (both blood and found), and the blurred lines between right and wrong.
She is also hard at work revising an adult thriller and plotting an adult fantasy inspired by the Armenian myths of her heritage.
Marina is also an active member of Adrienne Young’s Writing With the Soul community as an alumni and mentor. She is a member of the International Armenian Literary Alliance.
You can find her on Instagram at @youfoundmarinasbooks.
Marina is currently actively seeking representation.
